Huskies’ Papatheodorou, Badgers’ Richters, Nittany Lions’ Gress and Trojans’ Derrien receive weekly recognition
Offensive Player of the Week
Ioanna Papatheodorou, Washington
Sr. – F – Nea Erythraia, Greece - Major: Nutrition
Scored four of Washington’s five goals last week as the Huskies earned a six-point week with wins over Michigan State and Michigan
Scored the equalizing goal just over a minute after Michigan took the lead in Thursday’s 3-1 win. Then drew a foul inside the 18-yard box and converted the ensuing penalty for the eventual game winner against the Wolverines
Put home a pair of long-range, free kick strikes to give Washington a 2-1 win over No. 5 Michigan State
The win over the Spartans was Washington’s firs over a top 5 opponent since 2017
Now leads Washington in scoring with six goals this season
Papatheodorou is the first Washington player to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors

Maia Richters, Wisconsin
Sr. – D – Farmington Hills, Mich. – Major: Health Promotion Health Equity
Scored the game-winning goal against No. 9 Iowa to secure the upset in the Badgers’ 2-0 week which also included a win over Indiana
The game winner was Richters first goal of the season
Played 76 minutes at Indiana, limiting the Hoosiers to six shots and two shots on target
Has played 849 minutes this season, starting in all 14 contests

Mackenzie Gress, Penn State
RS-So. – GK – Lyndhurst, N.J. – Major: Kinesiology
Made her third and fourth stats of the 2024 campaign last week against Maryland and Minnesota, picking up a pair of individual victories to rise to 3-0-1 in her first year as a routine starter
Earned her first career solo shutout in the dominant 5-0 performance against the Terrapins, her first collegiate road start
In Sunday’s win over the Gophers, Gress faced a career-high 11 shots and recorded a career-best six saves while guiding Penn State to a second half shutout en route to her fourth consecutive unbeaten decision

Helped lead USC to a 2-0 week on the road, keeping the Trojans tied for first in the conference standings

Played 31 minutes in a 3-2 win at Illinois, recording two shots
Derrien is the first USC player to earn Freshman of the Week honors
